Performance Analysis of Selective ESPRIT with Hexagonal Array

Abstract(in English) The performance analysis of a selective ESPRIT is proposed for the full azimuth DoA estimation with hexigonal array. The geometric structure of the hexigonal array provides six pair-of-subarrays. The analysis of the estimate error with ESPRIT using each of six pair-of-subarrays shows that the error depends on the difference between DoA and the transitional direction of subarrays. The selective ESPRIT is to select the DoA with the minimum error among the DoA candidates obtained, respectively, by the six pair-of-subarrays with ESPRIT. The variance of the esimate DoA by the selective ESPRIT is given. The numerical results and simulations verify the performance analysis of the selective ESPRIT, and show that the selective ESPRIT improves the accuracy of full azimuth DoA estimation.
