| 抄録(和) | IBM基礎研究部門は,米国の人気クイズ番組Jeopardy!で,チャンピオン解答者と対戦するシステムWatsonの作成に着手した.自然言語処理,情報抽出,機械学習,超並列計算,知識表現と推論といった技術の結集により,WatsonはJeopardy!で勝つために必要な正答率,確信度,速度の観点で人間の解答者のレベルに達している.我々の拡張可能性を持つアーキテクチャは,オープン・ドメインの質問応答を急速に進化させる多くの技術の進化,評価,組み合わせのための基盤として有効であるといえる. |
| 抄録(英) | IBM Research undertook a challenge to build a computer system, Watson, that could compete at the human champion level in real time on the American TV Quiz show, Jeopardy! With the advancement and integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information Retrieval (IR), Machine Learning (ML), massively parallel computation and Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KR & R), Watson is performing at human expert-levels in terms of precision, confidence and speed at the Jeopardy! Quiz show. Our results strongly suggest that our architecture is effective and extensible and may be used as a foundation for combining, deploying, evaluating and advancing a wide range of algorithmic techniques to rapidly advance the field of open domain question answering. |
