Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A magnetic detection technique was devised to noninvasively detect the tip position of the nasal feeding tube that delivers liquid diet to the patient's stomach through a transnasal tube. We have designed an AC magnetic susceptibility measurement system that consists of an excitation coil and a pair of differential detection coils. To attain practical sensitivity, a technique to maximize the excitation field at a specific depth in the patient's body has been newly developed. In experimental analyses, the effectiveness of the developed technique was verified.
