Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We review our recent work on the development of components for future terahertz remote sensing system based on the semiconductor quantum cascade structure. The focus is mainly placed on a compact THz emitter, an amplifier section with large gain bandwidth, THz beam manipulation device, and an enhanced electro-optic detection. We discuss individual components of the system with respect to the current state-of-the-art and challenges, and we show our approaches to address them.
