Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We constructed the experimental system with a laser Doppler vibrometer for measuring the vibration of a single microbubble in an ultrasonic field. We tried to experimentally measure the linear resonant characteristics of a bubble attached to glass by using the system. It was demonstrated that the vibration amplitude of nanometer order could be captured. Thus, we succeeded in measuring the linear resonance characteristics and evaluated Q factor and the resonant radius at driving frequency of 27.8 kHz. The experimentally evaluated values were smaller than that predicted by the theory for a single free bubble. The difference possibly resulted from the effect of the wall to which a bubble was attached. Our experimental results indicate that LDV measurement system is effective tool for evaluating bubble vibration with very small displacement amplitude. This system will enable to investigate detail characteristics of bubble vibration, such as the effect of the wall on the vibration of the attached bubble.
