Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The objective of OpenFlow is high flexibility with regard to changing the topology and connection of networks in accordance with the different requirements of each user; such as researchers, broadcast companies, and network operators, what is called a programmable network. To leverage this benefit of OpenFlow, an OpenFlow-based network should be established with a physical full-mesh topology. However, a nation-wide physical network is likely to be a tree topology due to efficiency, along with geographical topology and cost of equipment. Therefore constructing an OpenFlow testbed with a physical full-mesh topology is not practical. We have to consider a way to overlay an OpenFlow-based network on the current testbed network. In our demonstration, streaming various videos on nation-wide OpenFlow-based network, we discuss our operation and management of this large programmable network and propose a method of interconnecting to an existing.
