Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ML-PDA (Maximum Likelihood-Probabilistic Data Association) is an effective method to extract a target track in high clutter environments. However, to extract an acceleration target on a plane, the computational load increases because it needs to search the target's position, velocity and acceleration in 6-dimensional space. In this paper we propose variable gating ML-PDA which consists of the following two steps. The first step is to search the target's position and velocity using the association gate which considers the difference between the assumed acceleration and the ture one. The second step is to search the target's position, velocity and acceleration while reducing the association gate volume. A numerical example illustrates the validity of our method.
