Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently radar technology for the collision avoidance is remarkable developed, on the other hand the distance between the radar and target changes from far to near region. Though this radar cross section (RCS) is defined in far region usually, it is necessary to evaluate RCS in near region when radar is located near the target. Safety increases more rapidly if radar will recognize accurately not only vehicles where it runs before and after but large or small vehicle, the motorcycle, guardrail and passer. Therefore accurate evaluation of reflecting field to radar even in near distance, the establishment of the evaluation method strongly is hoped. In this report, we consider the possibility of the near-field evaluation by high-frequency asymptotic method, especially geometrical optics approach which is effective for electrically large target compared with wavelength of operating frequency.
