Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a large-scale monitoring systems with multiple cameras, variable human tracking methods by using a human segmentation and a similarity-based image search are proposed. Howerver, accuracies in real worlds is still low. Although segmentations are successed, search accuracies are also low because of posture changes, occlusion, etc. We proposed a new human tracking method which does not need a human segmentation. The proposed method searches for similar images in units of blocks which are obtained by splitting foreground images. In addition, it allows us to reduce the number of false search results by narrowing down transition candidates to utilize time-stamps and camera locations. Our experimental results show that our methods can track humans at 86.4% in the environment with non-overlapped multiple cameras.
