Abstract(in English) | In this paper, performance of the heterogeneous wireless link aggregation of the real wireless networks is optimized, by tuning parameters, such as packet distribution radio and buffer size of the link aggregation method. Heterogeneous wireless link aggregation improves radio resource utilization by fully using radio resources of multiple RANs and maximizes the throughput. However, in the link aggregation of heterogeneous wireless networks, optimization of the throughput is very difficult, since differences of QoS metrics of each RAN may become very large. In order to solve such an issue, in our previous research, we have clarified that the aggregation throughput can be improved by optimally tuning the link aggregation parameters, on an experimental network consisted of network emulators. In this paper, we apply the proposed approach to the real commercialized wireless networks, such as 3G cellular and WiMAX, and optimize the aggregation throughput using a link aggregation function of Cognitive Wireless Clouds system. By tuning the parameters of the link aggregation function, such as the amount of traffic allocation and buffer size, we show that the link aggregation throughput can be improved 50% compared to the single link throughput and the radio resource usage efficiency achieves higher than 90%, on the commercialized wireless networks. |
