Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To deal with speed up and high capacity in wireless communication, the development of IEEE802.11ac has started for a next-generation WLAN standard. This standard targets the achievement of over 1 Gbps in a data rate by using the wider channel of more than 80 MHz. Our research group has developed a wireless transmission experiment equipment suitable for wideband 2x2MIMO-OFDM systems. This equipment consists of baseband and RF units. We carried out outdoor propagation experiment and evaluated propagation characteristics by using the equipment. The designed MIMO-OFDM transceiver in the baseband unit can realize real-time MIMO detection and provides the maximum data rate of 600 Mbps. For outdoor usage in WLAN systems, we tested and evaluated outdoor propagation characteristics at farm and between buildings.
