Abstract(in English) Systems with location-aware technique have been attracted recently. Not all of them need to know the location of receivers precisely. A small receiver is desired to be identified its position by simple examination because its size is restricted. This paper proposes a simple positioning method for small devices based on Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DS/SS) signals only to identify a region where the device exists. To develop a small receiver, we employ Low Frequency (LF) signals and magneticfields as communication medium. The proposed scheme measures the sign of inner product between reference signals from a loop antenna and the delayed signal from double loop antenna. A loop antenna array detects which the receiver exist in two region in conventional research. Numerical results show that a number of loop antenna array can detect that the receiver exist in a square which is 4 meter on a side enclosed with the antenna array or not with high probability.
