Design and Implementation of a Distributed Control System for Flexible System Reconfiguration

Abstract(in English) At present, a distributed control system that realizes more advanced work in real time is noted. And there are many researches to improve reliability of this system. We propose a flexible system reconfiguration method which inherits functions of failed controllers using calculation resource margin of other controllers. By applying to a distributed control system, we realize improvement of reliability without using standby controllers, and expect the effectiveness of a cost reduction. In this paper, we studied about the problem of an interface between controllers, sensors and actuators when we applied a reconfiguration method to a distributed control system. We designed an interface board and carried out computer simulations for verification of the basic design which has functions of a reconfiguration method such as a health-check of each controller. Based on this design, we implemented it using a FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). In addition, since we studied another system model which has no wiring change in a conventional system, we report.
