Design and Implementation of Storage Management System Using IMS/SDP

Abstract(in English) The authors have proposed a distributed storage video on demand (VOD) system that delivers video contents created by consumers in individual storages. In the system, an IP network of superior quality (managed IP network) represented by the next generation network (NGN) will be applied to a network between the video server and individual storages in order to guarantee the quality of service (QoS). To constitute the system, it is important how the system manages the presence of the storages and meta-information of video contents in them. Therefore, we have studied a storage management system which manages the information by using IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) and service delivery platform (SDP). In this report, we describe the design and implementation of the storage management system.
