Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Mammography is the standard examination for screening breast cancer. When a tumor and a mammary gland overlap in a mammogram, it is difficult to find a tumor because the difference of x-ray absorption of cancer and that of a mammary gland is small. We have developed a stereo digital mammography system that allows a stereoscopic observation. A stereo mammogram is needless to reconstruct image data and can be seen with an original resolution. It is expected that the stereo mammography makes it easy to find and to distinguish a cancer because an overlapped anatomical structure can be perceived separately. This paper reports the optimization results of stereoscopic exposure and display condition, specific visual perception of noise, specific functions and measurements of stereoscopic fatigue. |
