| 抄録(和) | 胸部X線検査において約30%の肺結節が見落されていたとの報告がある.そのため,肺結節の可能性のある位置を表示することによって読影医の診断を支援するコンピュータ支援診断システムが開発されてきた.本論文では,様々な大きさの円形パターンを強調することができるヘシアンフィルタバンクに基づいた肺結節の検出方法を提案する.放射線技術学会発行のデータベースを用いて本手法を評価した結果,初期検出の段階で75%の感度のとき,画像1枚当たりの偽陽性数が30個であった.また,提案手法と従来法である差分フィルタと適応リングフィルタの結果との組合せを行うことによって,さらに検出性能が向上することも示す.本手法は胸部X線検査における肺結節の自動検出に有用であると考えられる. |
| 抄録(英) | Radiologists can fail to detect approximately 30% of lung nodules on chest radiograph. Therefore, in order to assist radiologists' image interpretation, computer- aided diagnosis (CAD) schemes which indicate the potential locations of nodules have been developed. This paper proposes an automated detection method of nodules based on Hessian filter bank with which various sizes of nodules are enhanced and the majority of background normal structures are suppressed. Our method was evaluated by use of standard digital image database created by the Japanese Society of Radiological technology. The candidates identified by thresholding of output values in the Hessian Filter Bank indicated that the sensitivity for the detection of nodule was 75 % with 30 false positives per image. In addition, combining output values of our method, adaptive ring filter, and difference-image technique improved the detection accuracy. Therefore, our method would be useful for the detection of lung nodules on chest radiograph. |
