Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The ultrasonic (US) image guiding radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is the effective method for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recently, some aiding systems for paracentesis which are using a pre-operative 3D-CT image and 2D-US image were developed and commercialized. However, these systems are not considering the non-linear liver form change by posture, etc. in each photography. In our proposal method, a pre-observed 3D-CT image is deformed in three-dimensions to register to a real-time observed US image. In this report, we tried the non-linear registration of two 3D-CT data sets of the liver as fundamental study.
