Abstract(in English) | The concern with Inter-Vehicle-Communication (IVC) has recently been growing to support safety driving. In the IVC, it is necessary to solve shadowing problems owing to Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) between vehicles caused by buildings and large-size vehicles. It has been proposed that the IVC adopts multi-hop communication techniques in order to reduce NLOS wireless environment. However, the IVC with the multi-hop techniques causes the increase of network traffic and may result in a increase of packet collision and packet delay. We proposed that we apply a network coding technique, in which two relay packets are multiplexed to one coded relay packet using the exclusive OR circuit, to the multi-hop IVC system. Further, we showed that the proposed system on small network topologies improves packet receive performance. Although the packet delay performance of the proposed system on large scale network has never been studied. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of the proposed system on large scale network topology as many vehicles exist. By computer simulations, we evaluate the average packet receive rate and the average packet delay time in the network. And we show that the proposed system can reduce the average packet delay time. |
