Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the widespread of the Internet and Web services, people are using them in the various fields. However, from the perspective of the Internet accessibility philosophy, the present system is hard to say that it isn't satisfactory for convenience and for handicapped persons. Particularly the Web browsers are not sufficient for handicapped users. The existence or meaning of the images cannot always be understood when a screen reader is used. In order to solve these problems, we studied the image title estimation method for the screen reader users. The current methods for this problemare applied only to the special Web browsers or special Web pages. We propose a new method to estimate the image using cascading stylesheets(CSS). We developed prototype system of experiments to try whether the image estimation algorithm can be applied to the pages. The current experimental results aren't satisfactory and show the moderate validity of the method,.
