Abstract(in English) This paper reports the study on the damping constants (α) of Ni_xFe_<1-x> (0.65M_y (M=Pt, Au, Pd, Cr; 0 films, α slightly decreases for 0.67M_y films, both α and |λ_s| linearly increases with increasing y. Furthermore, the increments of α and the absolute value of λ_s (|λ_s|) to y are markedly enhanced in the order of M = Pt, Au, Pd, and Cr suggesting that 5d transition metal dopants are more influential on bothα and λ_s, than 3d and 4d transition metal dopants due to the strong spin-orbit interaction. Based on these results, it is speculated that the dominant factor of α in Ni_xFe_<1-x> and (Ni-Fe)_<1-x>M_x films is themagnetoelastic energy (E_σ). These results also demonstrate that α can be controlled effectively through the change in E_σ by transition metal dopants.
