Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To ensure the security and privacy in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) applications, a user management scheme is needed. Typical conventional user management schemes are based on authentication using client certificates and well-defined factors such as payments, and assume the existence of a centralized authority that maintains a database of such information. In order to distribute such tasks of database update and the responsibility in regard, in this paper, we propose a distributed user management scheme, in which several peers who are receiving the same service conduct the task of admission in a collaborative manner. The proposed scheme is suitable for the use in communities like coteries and clubs.
