Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the tile programming environment, even children can achieve programming by assembling tiles on which actions are shown with comprehensible words, because it is easy-to-use and doesn't produce any syntax errors. By this reason, it is used in primary education for the purpose of promoting logical thinking and problem solving skills. In real programming scenes, however, we can also find some children who cannot make a program which realizes actions in their mind. As one of the reasons of this, the abstraction level of actions which they have in mind is very high and the assembling of tiles becomes too complicated to make a program using only pre-prepared tiles. In this paper, we propose a function to switch the abstraction level of actions shown on tiles for such tile programming environment, which promotes children's understanding of meaning and usage of tiles and leads to creative programming activity.
