Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The conventional stream ciphers generate ciphertext by taking exclusive-or between plain text and running key sequence from the PRNG. However, because of this encryption, an attacker can deface the cryptogram easily. Realizing tolerability against defacing in the conventional cipher is not easy. On the other hand, since physical stream cipher called Y-00 can purposefully create differences between ciphers for a legitimate receiver and ones for an attacker, it can be expected that Y-00 can have a certain level of tolerability against defacing. In this paper, it is shown that there can be difference in tolerability against defacing via the methods in Y-00 realization, and is shown that ISK (Intensity-Shift Keying) Y-00 can have better torelatbility than PSK (Phase-Shift Keying) Y-00 has with some examples.
