Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In extracellular action potential (spike) recording of neurons, information about the location of neuron is useful for neuronal spike sorting, optimization of position of the recording electrode and so on. In this study, the accuracy of position estimation methods of neuron based on the multi-site neuronal spike recording is compared by using the computer simulation of extracellular action potential generated from a compartmental model of neuron. In addition, performance characteristics of multi-site electrodes with different shape and layout of recording sites are evaluated in terms of the accuracy of position estimation of neuron.
