Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | It is pointed out that the recent pervasion of video streaming services will lead to some difficulties in designing the network. For the efficient network design together with the sufficient quality, we have to model the video flows appropriately. However, designing the network with existing methods of traffic modeling requires large amount of the network equipments. In this report, we propose an enhanced modeling of video flows and an algorithm to calculate the maximum value of the available link utilization, which will improve the efficiency of the network design. The validity of the proposed method will be numerically shown by comparing with the traditional method. We also discuss the dependencies of the results of both methods on the characteristics of flows in this report. |
