Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As the break arc of relay has obvious close-cathode effect, it has clear two-phase transition phenomenon. This paper investigates the change law of two-phase transition of relay arc. It does the resistive load experiment under the air and 36V power supply. The results show that the total arc burning time increases at three-segment type. The metal phase burning time exponentially increases with the current and has big dispersivity, while the gas phase burning time has fast increment speed and little dispersivity. The initiation voltage platform values of metal phase and gas phase are about 12V and 24V separately in high purity N_2 atmosphere.
