Abstract(in English) This paper presents the throughput performance evaluation of closed-loop single-user MIMO transmission in the uplink single carrier (SC)-FDMA radio access using real-time baseband experimental equipment for LTE-Advanced. The throughput evaluations include the influence of estimation accuracy of MIMO channel matrix which is derived from the uplink sounding reference signal (SRS) and used for the precoding vector (PV) selection and adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) at the base station. The evaluation results elucidate that the block error rate for Rank-1 closed-loop transmitter diversity is not so sensitive against the estimation accuracy of MIMO channels using SRS because the phase resolution of PV is relatively rough in the case of two transmitter antennas. Moreover, the throughput of 150 Mbps is achieved by 2-by-2 spatial multiplexing. However, the throughput performance employing AMC is clearly degraded by approximately 20% when the transmission power of SRS is reduced by -10 dB compared to that of data channel. As a result, it is clarified that the estimation accuracy of MIMO channels using SRS much influences AMC rather than PV selection for closed-loop MIMO transmission.
