Abstract(in English) It was experimentally and theoretically confirmed that inter-core crosstalk can be significantly varied depending on bending radius. Simulation results based on coupled-mode equation modified with equivalent index model are in good agreement with measurement results. It was also experimentally and theoretically confirmed that the crosstalk is a stochastic value. The effect of fiber bend and the crosstalk stochasticity should be considered for designing a multi-core fiber.
