On a Prefetching Heterogeneous MDD Machine

Abstract(in English) This paper shows a heterogeneous multi-valued decision diagram machine (HMDDM). First, we introduce a standard heterogeneous multi-valued decision diagram (HMDD). Then, we show a method to prefetch index for the HMDDM. Next, we introduce a code generation method for the HMDDM utilizing given memory size efficiently. We implemented the standard HMDDM and the prefetching HMDDM on an FPGA. The implementation results show that the prefetching HMDDM is 18.2% faster than the standard HMDDM. Also, we compared with Intel's Core2Duo (1.2 GHz) and a quartary decision diagram machine (QDDM). As for the execusion time, the prefetching HMDDM is 9.57-11.85 times faster than the QDDM, and 16.22-20.08 times faster than the Core2Duo.
