Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When constructing a spatiotemporal 4-dimensional (4D) display system of human embryo models, it is important to select the most appropriate viewpoints to visualize complicated shapes. In this report, we describe a preliminary study for automated methods to select the viewpoints. Firstly, we carried out psychological experiments to select optimal viewpoints of human embryo models. Next, we evaluated the usefulness of viewpoint entropy, mesh saliency, and projected area as measures to select optimal viewpoints, by comparing with the results from the psychological experiments.
