Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A material property such as nonlinear elasticity or viscoelasticity can affect crack pattern. We conduct an experiment of fracture of thin rubber films which show nonlinear elasticity and viscoelasticity. As a result, two crack patterns are observed. One is a oscillating crack pattern, and the other is a straight crack pattern. A transition between oscillating crack pattern and straight crack pattern is observed in a strong nonlinear elastic region. An amplitude and a wavelength of oscillating crack patterns are dependent on a strain state in films and a relaxation time of rubber films.
