Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The PDCA cycle is treated as a representative method of using intellectual abilities, and it is proposed how the PDCA cycle can be transformed into the process of a creative innovation. In order to incorporate the diversity necessary to the creative innovation, the concept of 'ba' is introduced to the fundamental process of the PDCA cycle. And the diagram is defined to represent the fundamental processed. The function of 'ba' is given by the affordance of three reasoning abilities which en sure the 'soft' improvement cycle. The role of 'ba' in the innovation diagram is also extended so as to ensure the flexible and improvisational processes. Finally, the meta-ability to integrate various abilities is also discussed.
