Automatic Satellite Operation System in Sagamihara Ground Station

Abstract(in English) This paper introduces a method for automatic or unmanned operation of satellite using "REIMEI" operation system as an experimental test case. The nucleus software of the proposed method is called "Scheduler". The "Scheduler" is a substitute of operator, manages and controls operation process of satellite via APIs that implement functional blocks of satellite operation system. The "Scheduler" also can be a testing set for verifying scheduling algorithm. This paper shows results of daily automatic operation of "REIMEI" using "Scheluler". The objective of automatic operation is a reduction of load of operators in daily operation. The objective is achieved by automatic operation of reproduction of observation data that accounts for about 75% of daily operation.
