Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Due to carrier frequency tracking errors produced by the rocket high dynamics, a frequency estimator must be included in the demodulation of the navigation message for rocket-borne GPS receiver. This paper presents the simulation results for Maximum Likelihood (ML), Kay and Quinn-Fernandes methods for frequency estimation as part of the demodulation process. The demodulator using ML estimation achieves near optimal error rate, while the Quinn-Fernandes iterative estimation with Kay method as initial estimate is a good low complexity alternative.
