Design of CSD Coefficients FIR Filters using PSO with Perturbation

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present a design method for CSD coefficient FIR filters using the PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization). In a hardware implementation of FIR filters, the CSD representation is effective for decreasing a scale of circuit. However, a design problem of such a filter falls into a mixed integer programming problem which is often hard to solve in polynomial time. The PSO is the method which can take candidate good solutions. In addition, we attempt an improvement of obtained solutions by giving perturbations to initial solutions. Several design examples are shown to present the effectiveness of the proposed method.
