Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In multicast communication, data messages are required to be transmitted in one direction, i.e. from a source wireless node to multiple destination wireless nodes. Hence, by including uni-directional wireless links in the multicast transmission tree, higher connectivity and shorter transmission delay are expected. The authors have proposed MLBSR (Multicast Extension of LBSR) which is based on a unicast routing protocol for ad-hoc networks with uni-directional wireless links and which supports joining to/leaving from the multicast transmission tree. However, it is assumed in MLBSR for the wireless communication links not to be broken. Thus, an extended method for supporting of mobility and failure of wireless nodes and breakage due to lower battery supply is required to be developed. This paper proposes a method to repair the multicast tree by detection of broken wireless communications links and by detection of a detour wireless multihop transmission route in compensation for the broken wireless link. The detection is realized by looped route detected in the protocol for joining to the multicast tree.
