Power Routing Switches toward Energy-on-Demand Home Networking

Abstract(in English) An on-demand electric power supply architecture in home based on quality-aware routing is proposed. Purposes of this research are (i) realizing an autonomous distributed power control system which does not impair quality of human life under the assumption that power quality which electrical appli- ances and sources advertise are given and (ii) designing a framework in which despersed power is consumed as much as possible in home. In conventional network has single energy source and a tree structured path, and energy flow single direction. On the other hand, in proposed network, the network has multi energy source and mesh structured paths, and energy flow bidirection. In the architecture power sources and powered devices send quality parameters by which they supply or consume electric power. The network itself chooses best matching of a source and a device, and makes reservation of a path. In this demonstration on-demand multi sources energy routing and snatching other devices' energy considering precedence on the proposed architecture with implemented routing switches are shown.
