Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We observed that a fiber fuse terminated at a splice point between hole-assisted fiber(HAF) and conventional fiber with the input power above 15 W in the optical communication band. We observed the dynamics of fiber fuse termination at a splice point between a HAF and a conventional fiber. Our experimental results show that air holes in HAF play an important role in suppressing fiber fuse propagation. |
