Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Traffic congestion is frequently occurred at arterial road in Japan. Traffic congestion increases transportation costs more, and it makes energy efficient worse. Therefore, method for avoiding traffic congestion is required. Systems of congestion avoidance are used in Japan such as VICS, but they depend on infrastructures. On the other hand vehicle ad hoc networks(VANETs), which are independent from such infrastructures are developed. A VANET consists of vehicles and inter-vehicle communications. We propose a route discovery method for traffic congestion avoidance which is based on a VANET in this paper. Also we show results of simulation experiments to evaluate the route discovery method for avoiding traffic congestions.
