Abstract(in English) | As the number of mobile service users increases, the mobile use becomes more diversified. It brings us new problems in determination of a service quality criterion. In the network planning and operation, the criteria have so far been specified based on network QoS (Quality of Service), such as network delay, jitter, packet loss. This technique has advantages of the ease of data acquisition and the high objectivity. However, it is difficult to estimate that how people use services and how they feel when they use the services. Recently, an evaluation method based on QoE (Quality of Experience) has received much attention. In quality evaluations based on QoE, it is assumed that quality will be specified through a subjective evaluation of acceptability in an actually experienced situation. First, this paper discusses the demand for subjective quality evaluation of network users by citing assessment of the waiting time as an example. Here, we show the results of the evaluation experiments to various mobile services by the developed evaluation system. Then, the outline of the enhanced QoE research is introduced. Here, we explain the research on analysis and creation of communication. As an example of communication analysis, we discuss the influence on the communication of TV phone from its design and usage. Furthermore, the activity using the workshop is introduced as an example of the creation of future communication. This paper shows the usefulness of the user centered approach in engineering researches through introduction of our activities. |
