Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a remote desktop system where the screen image of a terminal is transferred over the network to another terminal, it is difficult to accurately reproduce periodic screen update patterns such as blinking alert messages. In previous work, we proposed a timing correction method where a relay server acting between the sending and the receiving terminals detects periodic screen update patterns and regulates the timing of updates sent to the receiving terminal. In this paper, we explore the applicable scope of the proposed method by doing some experiments in varied network environments and with different screen update patterns.
