Abstract(in English) | It is important to understand the radio wave propagation structures in wireless communications. One of useful methods for the purpose is high-resolution DOA estimation using array antenna. However, for the near field sources, different signal models are required since the incident wave fronts are spherical. This paper deals with the near field DOA-Matrix method for source localization, which assumes that the distance attenuation is constant in the array antenna. Via computer simulation, it is confirmed that the DOA-Matrix method shows acceptable accuracy in near filed source localization if there is only one source that has distance attenuation in the array antenna. Furthermore, the near-field DOA-Matrix method is incorporated into SAGE algorithm, and it is demonstrated that the proposed method provides successful estimation in the case where two waves are incident on the array. |
