Ray-tracing Analysis of Multi-Keyhole Effect in Indoor MIMO Relay System

Abstract(in English) In MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) relay systems, multiple repeater antennas are necessary to achieve multiple stream transmission between two isolated spaces. In this report, in order to investigate the effect of relay transmission on MIMO channel, multi-keyhole characteristics in indoor environment are analyzed by the ray-tracing simulation. The simulated results are compared to that of i.i.d. (independent and identically distributed) channel, and the relationship among the number of the repeaters, distance of the antenna, and keyhole characteristics is clarified.
