Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As the Internet has grown larger and more complex, active measurement which can provide the End-to-End measurement of network performance has become more important. In active measurement of delay and loss, the recent work reported that we can improve the accuracy by using the probe packet intervals which near fixed interval. However, it cannot provide the optimal probing method. In this paper, we propose the new probing method which has probe packet intervals with random fluctuations, and consider the relationship between the magnitude of fluctuations and the property of the target network.
