Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This talk presents Economic approaches for the development of communications technology and its applications. Although the growth of communication technology has brought us high-speed and ubiquitous communication services, communication resource has been limited even more strictly because the number of users sharing it has been still increasing. Moreover, the service demand has become more specified for each user, which implies that the use of communication resource will be more competitive. The framework of Economics would be very helpful for this situation because it can deal with general problems of resource sharing and cooperation between people. In this talk, first, general formulation and model of the economic framework are shown and followed by the overviews of a couple of prior studies. Finally, further direction of the economic framework will be mentioned at the end of the talk.
