Abstract(in English) It is required to clarify each visual characteristics of low vision person to computer display devices and evaluate operational effectiveness on accessibility settings in order to optimize personal computer environments for low vision persons. In this paper a visual characteristics evaluation kit is developed for the above purpose. The kit consists of tools to measure visual resolution to display devices, contrast sensitivity, optimal font size for reading with contrast polarity effect, effective width and type of line, influence that state of mouse pointer gives to operation performance. And the tools are used to evaluate the effectiveness of them by persons with normal eyesight persons and low vision ones. As the results we show the capability of our kit to optimize accessibility settings for low vision PC users.
