Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The control of behavior depends heavily on the use of language. Children with ADHD who exhibit social troubles have difficulty using inner speech. This study aimed to develop a verbal instruction puzzle task that purposed to enhance the ability of behavioral control through verbal communication. A child with ADHD conducted the puzzle task for three months. As a result, the child's self-centered deeds and words among the task decreased and changed to cooperative ones. We discussed the relationship between verbal communication and the self-control of behavior.
