Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The control of behavior depends heavily on the use of language. Children with ADHD who exhibit social troubles have difficulty using inner speech. This study aimed to develop a verbal instruction puzzle task that purposed to enhance the ability of behavioral control through verbal communication. A child with ADHD conducted the puzzle task for three months. As a result, the child's self-centered deeds and words among the task decreased and changed to cooperative ones. We discussed the relationship between verbal communication and the self-control of behavior. |
