Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, the but error performance of Turbo code with Unequal Power Allocation (UPA) in Optical Wireless Communications (OWC) is evaluated by computer simulation. In the UPA turbo code scheme, the message bit and and the parity bit differ in the allocated signal power. In this paper, the bit error rate performance for the average received laer power per bit is evaluated. Moreover, the relation between the average bit error rate and the message-to-parity bit power ratio (denoted power ratio) is shown. It is found that there is an optimum power ratio. When the average received laser power is -47.9[dBm], the optimum power ratio is 1.7. The system with the power ratio 1.7 is superior to the conventional system (the system with power ratio 1.0) significantly.
