Abstract(in English) NTT lab has been developing spectrum editing type bandwidth decomposition transmission. It divides a single-carrier modulated signal into multiple sub-spectra and uses a filter bank to set each sub-spectrum in an unused frequency slot. In this paper, to improve frequency utilization efficiency of existing satellite earth stations, we propose to install a Bandwidth Decomposition Device between the modem and antenna; the basic performance of this proposal is introduced. Signal transmission experiments shows that the degradation in required C/N was less than 0.5dB. Thus, we have confirmed that the proposed method is useful.
