Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses the broadband satellite communications in terms of the creation of Gigabit satellite, expansion to the WINDS satellite, criticism for broadband satellite, necessity of broadband satellite and future applications. It is described that the discussion was occurred whether or not the satellite communication technology is matured during the period between Gigabit satellite and the launch of WINDS and that the criticism for the broadband satellite followed in Japan at the time just before the launch of WINDS. This paper tries to object to these discussion and criticism. Finally the paper describes the future prospect of broadband satellite and the application of broadband technology. |
